My Vision
After taking Social Entrepreneurship classes and getting involved with the Fair Trade Club, I learned what the word sustainability really means. Formally, sustainability is the ability to develop products, goods, and services that involve meeting our needs without compromising the ability of future generations to fulfill their own needs. This means that to really maintain a commitment to sustainability, I need to do more than make small steps. Instead, I need to use the environment and its resources rationally and protect it for humanity and all living things.
Taking a leadership position in my school’s Fair Trade club was an important first step. The club aims to raise awareness about products that are grown, produced, and sold in a way that ensures fair pay for the farmers and farm workers. When the Fair Trade club events were canceled due to the pandemic, I decided to take action.
I started this website to provide information about sustainability and how teens can make a meaningful difference through individual action. On this website, I create blog posts about new sustainable brands, products, and jaw-dropping information about the harms of plastic. My goal is to share the importance and benefits of sustainable practices, and how teens can work together to ensure a more sustainable future for our planet.
